Our Ryzen system meets or exceeds all of the recommended system requires for X-Plane 11. The new Ryzen System is based around Nvidia's new 30-series GPUs and AMD's Ryzen 5000 processors. These processors pack higher IPC (instructions per clock) than their predecessors as well as substantially higher clock speeds. The results is a processor that can go toe to toe with Intel and can actually stomp Intel in workloads involving many processing cores (like video editing, rendering, scientific computing, etc). And, in gaming, the 5000 series is around the same performance as Intel's best i9-10900K.

The Ryzen 5600X competes with the fastest chips from Intel in gaming and productivity. We have found it to be about as fast as Intel's i7 and i9 chips in X-Plane and other games. This makes it an excellent choice for people on a budget who still want great performance.

With this system, expect to run X-Plane at high visual settings as well as FS2020 at the "high" quality global preset.

Mass storage is typically the bottleneck in just about every system. So, how do we reduce this bottleneck? We do this by using an SSD (Solid State Drive). Using an SSD over conventional mechanical storage is a night and day difference. If you ever use an SSD, you will never go back to mechanical storage.
