This system meets or exceeds all of the recommended system requires for X-Plane 11. This system flies and is capable of displaying X-Plane, MSFS X, Prepar3d, or other games on up to four monitors. Whether you decide to use one monitor, or four, this system will get the job done.
The Rack Mount System is VR-Ready. So, if you decide to go for the Occulus Rift or HTC Vive VR Headset, you'll have all of the power you need.
The motherboard has all Solid Caps (Capacitors) and Low RDS(on) MOSFETs which are rated to work at higher temperatures to provide a longer lifespan.
Mass storage is typically the bottleneck in just about every system. So, how do we reduce this bottleneck? We do this by providing an SSD now as standard equipment. That means Windows will load in seconds, not minutes. Anything that is disk-intensive will be much faster as SSDs are so much faster than regular hard drives. Also, SSDs rarely fail. So, your data is safer on an SSD. If you need the additional capacity, we still offer a 2TB Hybrid drive for the same amount as the SSD.
We now are offering Intel's new Kaby Lake processors (7600K and 7700K). These processors go even higher the clock speeds hitting up to 4.6GHz. With the i5 7600K at 4.4GHz and the i7 7700K at 4.6GHz, we have to go with an after-market high-end cooler to maintain those speeds. Otherwise, thermal throttling occurs. In other words, the CPU will slow down when it hits 90 degrees C to allow itself to cool down. We use a cooler that has four copper heat pipes that contact the CPU directly. Aluminum coolers just can't match the efficiency of copper. This allows for lower CPU temps and a quieter system, since the fans do not have to work as hard.We all have waited for DDR4 on the mainstream line, and now we have it. DDR4 is the next evolution in memory and provides additional available bandwidth between the processor and the memory Supports one, two, three, or four displays. With four, you can have wide forward view with three of the monitors, and use the fourth for your instruments using Air Manager. You can also run a second instance of X-Plane to display your instruments on a fourth display using this system.
