Mass storage is typically the bottleneck in just about every system. So, how do we reduce this bottleneck? We do this by including a 500GB SSD (solid state drive). An SSD is many times faster than a conventional hard drive. This results in Window loading in half the amount of time and X-Plane loading 50% faster. With the base system, we are getting well over 30fps in heavy scenery with lots of eye candy turned on using a single 1080p (1920x1080) monitor. We suggest this for customers wanting to run a single display, with 1080p being the most typical.
Computer came via FED-EX packaged very nicely. Plugged in the computer and it ran like a charm. I use for FSX. Computer is very silent and runs like a dream. get 40-50 fps with FSX with the dense scenery. Great job XForce PC.
The oldest rule in the book, pick out the software, then find the hardware to run it. I wanted to run X-Plane at decent resolution without breaking the bank. I bought the machine because I liked XForce PCs videos where Michael explains the why's of simulators.
The unit arrived via Fedex immaculately packed. Insider was a note saying all the software and drivers were loaded. I literally plugged the unit in, turned it on and there as a shortcut on the desktop to X-Plane. Clicked, calibrated my Yoke and Rudders and ten minutes later I was flying at 40-60 frames per second. I was expecting at least 2-4 hours of setup, Michael had already done everything. Nice.
Very nice unit that runs X-Plane well, looks great on my 50 inch monitor. I did have one small hiccup involving a plugin that I tried to run. My email was answered promptly and took care of the issue. Thanks Michael.
If you want to run X-Plane the way it was meant to be run, this is a great starter machine. Thanks Michael for putting it together.
